Why the Project Delivery System Exists
After four decades working on complex developments, one pattern appears again and again:
Projects rarely fail because of a lack of talent. They fail because the system that connects decisions, authority, time, and money was never properly designed.
The Project Delivery System (PDS) was developed to address that gap — not as a methodology, but as a practical operating framework for client-side leadership.
The Thinking Behind PDS
PDS is built on the belief that:
governance must be designed, not assumed
programmes should drive decisions, not just report progress
commercial control must be proactive, not forensic
clarity early is always cheaper than correction later
These principles were formed through direct experience delivering hospitality, residential, and mixed-use projects across multiple international markets, often in complex stakeholder and regulatory environments.
How I Work With Clients
Engagements are:
structured
independent
commercially aware
and focused on outcomes
I work closely with existing teams and advisors, applying the Project Delivery System to strengthen — not replace — their capability.
About Me
I work in a senior, independent client-side advisory role, helping sponsors and leadership teams design the systems through which their projects are governed and delivered.
My role is not to manage day-to-day activity on site, but to:
establish clarity of authority and accountability
ensure programmes and budgets function as management tools
support informed, timely decision-making
protect capital and outcomes
Clients engage me when:
a project is being set up
risk is about to be locked in
governance needs to be reset
or independent judgement is required
